Questions before you call
Short answers to common questions before you phone the office or travel to a hospital — save time and reduce anxiety.
Does NHS supply factor?
No. Nepal Hemophilia Society is a patient organisation. Clotting factor is prescribed and dispensed through treatment centres and hospital pharmacies.
NHS advocates for supply and safety; it does not sell medicine from the Anamnagar office.
Can I get a diagnosis by phone?
No. Diagnosis requires laboratory factor assays. NHS can explain where families ask for tests and how to register after results exist.
Send reports by email only if you are comfortable; in-person file review at the centre is safer for treatment decisions.
What should I bring to a first centre visit?
All lab reports, list of medicines tried, bleed history notes, growth chart for children, and insurance or referral papers if you have them.
Write questions on paper so nothing is forgotten in a short appointment.
Office hours and emergencies
NHS office: Sunday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, 01-5172729. For active bleeding, head injury, or throat swelling, go to emergency services and your treatment centre first.
Membership questions can wait; bleeds cannot.
This page is general information from Nepal Hemophilia Society. It is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. A bleed, a head injury, or bleeding after an accident needs urgent hospital care. Ask your treatment centre before you change any treatment.
