Events
NHS meets in Kathmandu and, through chapters, closer to home. Dates for the next camp are confirmed by phone. The events below are the ones the Society keeps every year or has recently held.

World Hemophilia Day
World Hemophilia Day is 17 April, the birthday of Frank Schnabel, who founded the World Federation of Hemophilia. In Nepal the day is marked with families, red colour, and a public ask: diagnosis and safe treatment in every province.
Schools and colleges are welcome to host a small programme. Tell NHS if you want a speaker or a fact sheet. The international campaign pages are published each year by the World Federation of Hemophilia.

Members, clinicians and the Society’s leadership were in the same room. The ask was a budget for diagnosis and safe treatment, not a one-day camp.

Community health camps
Camps are where physiotherapy, dental advice and family questions happen away from a crowded outpatient corridor. A camp is not an emergency service and it does not replace a factor assay.
