Hospitals, chapters, and how to confirm a clinic day before you travel — saving a wasted bus fare.

Start with NHS

Call 01-5172729 or email nepalhemo@gmail.com with your district. Staff share which hospitals families use for factor assays and follow-up, updated by member feedback.

Public materials name TU Teaching Hospital, Kanti Children’s Hospital, and other referral paths — always confirm the clinic schedule the same week you travel.

Chapters as navigators

Chapters in Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Parsa, Sunsari, Kaski, and other contacts help you reach the right hospital door. They do not replace infusion.

If no chapter exists near you, the national office still helps — distance is common, not shameful.

What to confirm before leaving home

Is the haemophilia or paediatric haematology clinic running this week? Is assay sampling available? Is the doctor who knows factor products on duty?

Bring all prior reports so tests are not duplicated unnecessarily.

After the first visit

Save the direct desk phone if offered. Register with NHS and report back if information was wrong so the next family benefits.

This page is general information from Nepal Hemophilia Society. It is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. A bleed, a head injury, or bleeding after an accident needs urgent hospital care. Ask your treatment centre before you change any treatment.
