Newly diagnosed checklist
A first-week list after a clotting disorder diagnosis — print mentally and act step by step.
Day one to three
Secure lab report copies. Call treatment centre and NHS. Stop aspirin and ibuprofen unless centre approves.
- Photograph report — do not post publicly
- Save emergency numbers
- Ask school for meeting once plan exists
Week one
Register with NHS. Ask inhibitor testing schedule if severe haemophilia. Book dental review.
Week two
Visit centre with questions written. Meet chapter contact if available. Fridge plan for factor if prescribed.
Ongoing
Bleed diary optional but useful. Update NHS if hospital information changes.
This page is general information from Nepal Hemophilia Society. It is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. A bleed, a head injury, or bleeding after an accident needs urgent hospital care. Ask your treatment centre before you change any treatment.
