Treatment types in Nepal

Prophylaxis, non-factor therapy, extended half-life factor, and cryoprecipitate — with supply limits explained honestly.

On-demand and prophylaxis

Both depend on product on shelf. Prophylaxis prevents joint damage when sustainable.

Non-factor therapies

Emicizumab for some haemophilia A patients including some with inhibitors — check centre stock monthly.

Extended half-life factor

Fewer infusions possible for some; still replacement therapy with storage rules.

Nepal reality

Humanitarian aid plus government procurement determine what is possible. Ask the centre; advocate through NHS when gaps persist.

This page is general information from Nepal Hemophilia Society. It is not a diagnosis or a treatment plan. A bleed, a head injury, or bleeding after an accident needs urgent hospital care. Ask your treatment centre before you change any treatment.
